nitya-pürëa-sukha-jïäna-svarüpo 'sau yato vibhuùato 'sya räma ity äkhyätasya duùkhaà kuto 'ëv apitathäpi loka-çikñärthamaduùkho duùkha-vartivatantarhitäà loka-dåñöyäsétäm äsét smarann ivajïäpanärthaà punar nitya-sambandhaù svätmanaù çriyäùayodhyäyä vinirgacchansarva-lokasya ceçvaraùpratyakñaà tu çriyä särdhaàjagämänädir avyayaùnakñatra-mäsa-gaëitaàtrayodaça-sahasrakambrahmaloka-samaà cakresamastaà kñiti-maëòalamrämo rämo räma itisarveñäm abhavat tadäsarvoramamayo lokoyadä rämas tv apälayat
It was actually impossible for Rävaëa to take away Sétä. The form of Sétä taken by Rävaëa was an illusory representation of mother Sétä—maya-sétä. When Sétä was tested in the fire, this mäyä-sétä was burnt, and the real Sétä came out of the fire.
